About Me

Creative writing for better business connection.

Always an imaginative and creative child, I began writing while still in elementary school.  My first publication came at the age of nine when my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Croft, submitted my short story, “Loneliness at Lake Michigan” to Stone Soup magazine, a magazine that features children’s writing.  I continued writing various genres including songs, poems, plays and stories, and I won several song writing contests as a middle school student.

As an adult, I continued writing both personally and professionally.  My professional writing gigs were quite eclectic.  I wrote curriculum for the Army Family Team Building Program as well as the IITR Research Group at the U.S. Armor Center at Fort Knox, KY.    As the Army Community Service Marketing/Advertising Coordinator in Vilseck, Germany, I wrote various commercial scripts and had several publications in The Bavarian American magazine.  In addition, I was a feature writer for the Fort Hood Sentinel in Killeen, TX.  I also taught writing at Pitts Middle School in Pueblo, CO.

While living in Colorado, I combined my passions for writing and theatre by writing the quirky comedy, Ashes to Armageddon, which was produced at the Damon Runyon Repertory theatre in Pueblo, CO in August, 2012.  Since that time, play writing has been my main focus.  In the summer of 2015, my murder-mystery melodrama, Shooting at the Stensrud Saloon , which I wrote with fellow actor, Sara Reynolds, premiered at the Stensrud Playhouse in Missoula, Montana.  My last big project was writing the murder –mystery dinner party, The Halloween Hoedown Homicide which was first used at the Stensrud Playhouse in October, 2015.  I’m currently working on two full-length plays, but I also write poetry, short stories, and essays.
